Aggregate Quality Control Technician

Scotty's Contracting and Stone, LLC is accepting applications for an Aggregate Quality Control Technician. This position will work throughout Allen County, KY and surrounding areas. Description:

Successful candidates for this position will demonstrate the knowledge and ability to properly perform, record, and report the results of basic field and laboratory procedures for aggregates.

• Perform testing on materials to assure compliance with internal and external specifications.
• Maintain control charts and other records required.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained in and around the lab. Troubleshoot problems and review basic product specifications. Inspect, calibrate, and maintain testing equipment periodically.
• Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• At a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• General computer and data entry skills.
• Organized and thorough record keeper.
• Basic math skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work without constant supervision.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and weekends as needed.
• Positive, customer service-oriented attitude.
  
• Ability to obtain Kdot and Tdot aggregate certifications.

Physical Requirements:

• Work Environment: Able to work both indoors & outdoors, with exposure to uneven terrain, dust, dirt, and varying weather conditions including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
• Proximity Hazards: Must be alert and able to work safely near heavy mobile equipment.
• Balance: Including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces.
• Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.
• Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.
• Heavy lifting: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
