The Vice President, Data & Analytics will play a pivotal role in developing and co-leading the Marketing Services Agency team and function at sg360. This leader will be responsible for building and managing a world-class analytics organization that drives new client acquisition and enhances data-driven marketing performance. The role includes oversight of data management, analytics, and visualization technologies to enable impactful, measurable marketing outcomes for clients. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Planning & Customer Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive data and analytics strategy aligned with sg360's business objectives and client needs.
- Partner with senior leadership and account teams to identify and capitalize on opportunities to leverage analytics for campaign effectiveness and client success.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in analytics and marketing technology to ensure sg360 maintains a competitive edge.
Analytics & Insights
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of directors, data scientists, and analysts to deliver best-in-class insights and solutions.
- Apply advanced analytical methods-such as predictive modeling, segmentation, and lifetime value analysis-to generate actionable insights that optimize marketing performance.
- Collaborate with client account teams to embed data-driven recommendations into marketing strategy and execution.
Reporting, Visualization & Marketing Technology
- Design and implement robust reporting frameworks and dashboards to monitor campaign KPIs and customer behaviors.
- Utilize tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and marketing automation platforms to enable efficient data visualization and campaign tracking.
- Partner with IT to evaluate, implement, and maintain data management and analytics technology solutions that support scalable growth.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making across departments and client engagements.
- Work closely with creative, strategy, and account teams to ensure seamless integration of analytics into all client deliverables.
- Provide thought leadership in data and analytics, positioning sg360 as a trusted strategic partner to clients.
Sales Enablement & Revenue Growth
- Lead and actively participate in sales calls and presentations to prospective and existing clients, articulating sg360's data and analytics value proposition.
- Collaborate with the Commercial team to identify and drive revenue opportunities related to analytics, marketing technology, and data-driven marketing solutions.
- Support proposal development, pricing strategies, and client onboarding for analytics-led engagements.
- Some travel may be required for client meetings, presentations, and industry events.
Requirements Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience
- 15+ years of progressive experience in data analytics, preferably within the direct marketing or marketing services industry.
- Proven leadership experience managing teams of managers, analysts, and data scientists.
- Demonstrated success in supporting business development and revenue generation initiatives.
Skills
- Strong understanding of direct marketing strategies, principles, and performance metrics.
- Expertise in statistical analysis, data mining, predictive modeling, and segmentation.
- Advanced proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
- Familiarity with marketing technology platforms, database systems, and automation tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; able to translate complex data into clear business insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with a focus on driving measurable business outcomes through data and technology.
