Title: Crisis Stabilization Unit and Adult Crisis Residential Analyst $60,000 - $80,000 - Posted Thru: 11/7/2025 Cover Letter Required with Application Location: 100% Remote - Must live and work in the state of Michigan Purpose: This position functions as a program analyst to help implement the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) programming statewide, for primarily children and with some work with adult CSUs. It recommends the certification and re-certification of CSUs and conducts site visits when necessary. It investigates complaints, possible CSU certification rule violations, and recommends sanctions. The position provides support and technical assistance on the CSU certification process to certified CSUs and entities seeking to become a CSU. The position will help monitor CSU compliance with program data submission and help produce reports of CSU service utilization to support leadership in identifying opportunities for improvement and for the purposes of financial reconciliation. This position will also implement adult crisis residential certification by reviewing the certification application submitted by Crisis Residentials through PIHPs. Duties and Responsibilities: Implement the certification process of the statewide Crisis Stabilization Units.
Provide support to certified CSU and CSU applicants to ensure the certification process is user friendly.
Investigation of any potential rule violations related to CSU Certification, including cooperation with other investigations such as potential Recipient Rights Investigations or Critical Incidents.
Implement the certification process for Adult Crisis Residentials
Monitor and develop reports on certification data.
Qualifications/Requirements: Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher in Public Health, Health Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Work, Business Administration, or another concentration related to the duties and responsibilities of the assigned position: education related to public/behavioral health administration preferred, masters preferred. Experience: Two or more years' experience in the following areas: licensing, certifying, or credentialing health or human service programs or operating a quality improvement program, developing programs, policies, and procedures, extensive knowledge of or preferably provision of public mental health, substance use, or developmental/disabilities services, especially in the area of crisis care, extensive knowledge of or preferably provision of behavioral health services for children, adolescents, and their families, leadership role, may be formal or informal but should demonstrate ability to elevate a team environment through self-awareness, active listening, and demonstrated value in diverse viewpoints. Important Skills and Characteristics:
Work Environment and Physical Requirements: Job may require moderate physical effort including lifting materials and equipment of <50# and involves viewing a CRT or VDT screen 25% to 75% of the time. Standard office environment. May require valid vehicle operator's license where needed to perform duties of the position. RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE WORK OF OTHERS: No assigned responsibility.
