What You Will Do: GFT is seeking a Jr. Architect Designer to join our Architectural Studio in East Brunswick, NJ! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our East Brunswick,NJ office. What you'll be challenged to do: In this role, you will need to be a motivated designer with a positive attitude to support architectural teams and fully commit to multi-disciplined design efforts. You will be working on projects for national and statewide public-facing governmental agencies seeking our best ideas to improve the public realm. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Assist in preparing concept designs for active projects and proposals. Assist in preparing architectural working drawings and related project documents. Assist in preparation of project specifications. Coordinate construction administration activities such as the review of shop drawings, response to requests for information, and running construction meetings. Work collaboratively and positively in a team environment. Produce conceptual renderings for project and presentation purposes. Be willing to expand your skills and grow professionally. Education \| Experience: What you will bring to our firm: Bachelor of Arts/Science in Architecture is required. B.Arch or Master of Architecture degree is preferred. 0-3 years minimum experience in an architectural office setting is required. High proficiency in REVIT Building Information Modeling Architecture with experience in both design and construction documentation is required. Experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint software is required. Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam Revu is required. Strong graphic skills and experience with 3D Modeling software such as Sketch-Up Pro, Rihno or similar is desired. Experience with 3D Rendering software such as Lumion 3D, Enscape or similar is desired. Knowledge of the following building types is desired: transit, transportation, government (federal, state, local) Candidate must have a working knowledge of current International Building Codes, NFPA, ADA, LEED, and knowledge of related standards such as ANSI, ASTM, ASHRAE etc. Candidate must be dynamic, creative and detail oriented. Candidate must be able to work effectively in team situations and establish strong relationships with other teams where overlap of client project work exists. Compensation: The salary range for this role is $65,000-$75,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
