Job Summary:
The Business Intelligence Intern will support the Club's data and analytics efforts across multiple business areas, including ticketing, marketing, partnerships, and fan engagement. This position provides hands-on experience in building dashboards, analyzing fan and sales data, and supporting the ongoing development of the Club's data infrastructure.
Responsibilities:


  • Build and maintain data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to support cross departmental business units.
  • Support organization and maintenance of the data warehouse, including data validation, integrations, and documentation.
  • Use SQL, Excel, and BI tools (Tableau, etc.) to analyze data and generate insights for leadership.
  • Assist in KPI tracking, sales pacing, and retention analysis for revenue and engagement metrics.
  • Contribute to fan segmentation projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Qualifications:


  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree or currently enrolled in a Master's program in Business Analytics, Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Prior experience or coursework in data analytics or BI preferred; sports industry experience a plus.
  • Familiar with Power BI or Tableau, and SQL; exposure to Python or R a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
  • Understanding of CRM systems or customer databases preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and curiosity.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player eager to learn in a dynamic sports environment.



Learning Objectives:


  • Gain hands-on experience with BI tools and data systems.
  • Learn how analytics support strategic decision-making.
  • Build practical skills in visualization, data accuracy, and KPI reporting.
  • Understand the relationship between CRM, ticketing, and fan data in sports business.



Estimated Workload


  • Hours per week: 20-25 hours
  • Duration: 9 months (February -October)
