Responsible for effective and efficient solutions for business needs, primarily through the planning, design, managing, and implementation of technical solutions including leading diverse teams and vendors.

About The Role:

The Onsite Deployment Manager plays a key role in leading and coordinating event technology operations for large-scale deployments. This role oversees onsite budgets, staffing, and vendor relationships while ensuring seamless execution of registration systems and event logistics. The manager will guide teams, troubleshoot issues, and support client-facing presentations and proposals. With a mix of strategic planning and hands-on execution, this role is essential to delivering high-quality onsite experiences.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage and oversee onsite budgets, staffing, and vendor coordination for 2-6 deployments annually and support 50-60 events overall.

  • Assign resources, monitor incoming work requests, and promote communication across deployment teams.

  • Lead internal and client-facing projects related to technology solutions and complete monthly labor forecasts.

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance management for direct reports; make hiring and compensation decisions.

  • Ensure ongoing training in event management and technology for team members.

  • Assist account teams with client proposals, demos, and RFP responses.

  • Identify appropriate technology platforms and flag labor concerns to leadership.

What You'll Bring

  • College degree or equivalent technical certification.

  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in conference logistics or onsite event services.

  • Technical Acumen - Configure, deploy, troubleshoot and maintain onsite registration systems and applications including the ability to: a) Computer network administration - ability to configure an internet connection and apply basic networking skills. b) Configure networking across multiple registration areas and citywide locations. c) Monitor system and network performance. d) Configure server redundancy and recover from any unforeseen system failures. e) Configure and launch application/ perform data server splits. f) Use proprietary system to input data, produce credentials/tickets and run reports.Ability to manage computer networks, monitor system performance, and recover from system failures.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and proprietary event systems for credential production and reporting.

  • Proven leadership in high-pressure environments with multitasking and team direction.

  • Excellent communication skills for presenting technical concepts to clients and stakeholders.

Nice To Have

  • Experience with budget planning and vendor contract management.

  • Familiarity with server redundancy setups and data server splits.

  • Background in sales support or client-facing technology presentations.

Working Logistics & Things You Should Know

  • This is a Remote role.

  • Onsite expectations are based on event schedule.

  • This position requires up to 60% travel, including extended stays at event locations.
