Overview

The IT Senior Project Manager for the AMI 2.0 Program will lead critical pre-planning andsystem integrator engagement activities for amajor Advanced Metering Infrastructure initiative.



Responsibilities

    This role focuses on resource planning, technical blueprinting, business process design, and vendor coordination within a complex IT environment.
  • Facilitate IT business process mapping and requirements gathering to ensure alignment with functional needs, technical delivery, and SI area of responsibility.
  • The successful candidate will develop acomprehensive resource plan based on technical scope, including roles, skillsets, and effort and cost estimates across workstreams (integration, data, infrastructure, and testing).
  • Will support the development and refinement of a high-level solution blueprint that defines scope, schedule, and budget from a technical lens - integrating infrastructure, data flows,and system interfaces to inform delivery planning.
  • Plan and coordinate the Planning & Analyze phases, including solution design validation, technical feasibility reviews, and preparation for Build phase activities including, e.g., environment readiness, development sequencing, testing strategy, and deployment rollout.
  • Job duties may include: apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills tohelp maximize the benefit of IT system investments; meet with decision makers, systems owners,and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business,computer science, or other business-relateddiscipline (including liberal arts majors).
  • Experience with utility technology needs,including strategic objectives and areas of investment focus.
  • Experience delivering/developing technical information to a non-technical audience as wellas to senior leadership.
  • Experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning or strategy/management consulting.
  • Experience managing large IT programs,resource planning, solution blueprinting, implementation planning, and overall end-to-end delivery management.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, andcross-functional leadership.
  • Familiarity with AMI, smart grid, or large Electric Utility technology and infrastructure projects.
  • Strong blend of business insight and technical proficiency to bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and technological solutions.

Wage Data Per State Requirements

Salary range for this position is $244,000 - $270,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.

  • Candidate may reside outside of CA and workfully remote; however, if local to LA, Riverside,Orange, and San Bernadino Counties, onsitewill be hybrid with 2 days in the office.
