POSITION SUMMARY The Facilities Technician I is an entry level position that supports the facilities' needs of the organization. This includes (facilitating through vendors) routine building maintenance tasks such as carpentry, electrical, heating and ventilation, and resolving reportedfacility issues through a ticketing system. This role actively performs preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the buildings are well-maintained. The Facilities Technician I is responsible for communicating with third party vendors as needed and will visit multiple locations as required to complete job tasks. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES: * Duties include extensive communications, including but not limited to verbal, written, and electronic interactions and collaborations with individuals on a daily basis to provide exemplary service. * Provides daily support for General Services operations. * Manages and closes assigned service tickets in a timely manner. * Coordinates with third-party vendors for both scheduled and ad hoc service needs. * Travels to various Lighthouse Credit Union locations as required. * Performs recurring routine maintenance and operational tasks. * Follows established daily, weekly, monthly, and annual checklists. * Supports third-party vendor-managed maintenance activities. * Serves as a resource for organizational projects and initiatives. * Participates in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed. * Completes required organizational and departmental training. * Maintains relevant certifications as identified by the department. * Follows and adheres to the Credit Union's policy regarding attendance and punctuality. JOB SPECIFICATIONS * Ensure all assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time, in alignment with established quality standards and departmental procedures. * Maintain effective relationships with internal customers to meet service expectations. * Keep management informed of any issues or concerns that arise. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and internal processes. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE One to three years of well-rounded maintenance experience including: * Working with tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices. * Inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. * Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassembling equipment. WORK ARRANGEMENT: The working arrangement for this position is fully onsite in office or other branches. No alternative working arrangement is availableas this work is directly hands-on. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must be able to walk, stand, sit, speak, read, write, see, hear, push or pull (with or without accommodation). * Frequently remains sitting in a stationary position for extended periods of time operating office/computer equipment. * Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: Travel to all company sites will be required for regular work and ongoing training, meetings and/or other business needs.
