As a Product Specification Writer at our Oconee site, you will be responsible for analyzing customer specification forms and generating all necessary documentation for Manufacturing including meter specification, bill of materials and customer record aids. In addition, you will coordinate the interaction between engineering, manufacturing, field operations, and marketing to ensure appropriate changes are documented. The right candidate will implement and maintain a Change Control Order System. These changes will include product improvements, repairs, and new product development.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Enter and maintain part numbers, bills of material, and routings in Oracle Cloud and Oracle EBS - Item Master
  • Write and process Change Control Orders (CCOs) while gaining a working knowledge of Oracle Cloud or other tools used to process CCOs
  • Review customer specification forms to ensure product combinations are available as requested
  • Generate Bills of Material associated with customer part numbers
  • Generate customer record aids while acquiring a working knowledge of the customer record aids database
  • Upload customer configuration files for customer specifications. Communicate with marketing/engineering related to customer and/or sales requests and/or new products to ensure combinations and functionality are available.
  • Maintain documents and files associated with customer and/or sales requests
  • Read, generate and proof prints and specifications for distribution to manufacturing

Required Skills & Experience:

  • This position requires 0-1 years of previous related professional experience
  • Associates degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • Proficiency and experience with Oracle.

Physical Demands:This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environment.

Travel: 0-10%
