Air Liquide Large Industries provides our customers with industrial gas and energy solutions that are vital to their own industrial production. We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.
How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?
The Damage Prevention Manager will be responsible for management of the Air Liquide Pipeline Damage Prevention Program which includes review of encroachments, oversight of line location contractors, and the development / delivery of reporting metrics. This includes performing pipeline stress and related analysis associated with third party encroachments & providing pipeline protection recommendations as applicable. Monitor contractor response to One Call requests predominantly in Texas and Louisiana and ensure appropriate resources and expertise is allocated. Develop and deliver metrics that measure effectiveness of the damage prevention program and cost. Implement mitigating measures related to pipeline damage prevention including signage and public awareness.
Maintain a Personal Zero Accident Safety Record Support and comply with all applicable company procedures and policies. Participate in the Life Critical Safety program by identifying and reporting near misses, conducting job safety observations, and participating in all monthly safety meetings. Review and evaluate project plans of proposed development and construction activities being planned in the vicinity of Air Liquide Pipeline's rights-of-way and its impact to pipeline facilities. Provide engineering support as needed to all Air Liquide Large Industries Pipeline Systems as it related to third party encroachments and projects. Ensure proposed development and construction near Air Liquide pipelines is designed and constructed in accordance with the Company's Encroachment Evaluation Specifications and Regulatory Agency requirements. Perform pipeline stress analysis associated with the encroachment; including, but not limited, heavy equipment, roadway and railroad crossings over existing pipeline and provide pipeline mitigation recommendations as applicable. Perform seismic vibration analysis of proposed seismic survey operations, blasting operations and construction induced vibrations activities near or within Air Liquide's pipeline rights-of-way. Provide complete concise encroachment report of the encroachment aspects and provide recommendations or stipulations for an Encroachment Agreement or Letter of No Objection issued to encroaching entity by Pipeline Operating Company Land Department. Internal coordination with various departments within Company - mainly Land, Pipeline Operations, Pipeline Construction, Pipeline Integrity, and HSE. Interface with private and governmental agencies, third party owners, developers, contractors & engineers and potential partners to define project parameters and proposal scenarios. Attend industry, federal, state, city & county, and developers meetings as required to coordinate work and provide information, as required. Lead continuous improvement efforts by continually identifying and sharing with management, opportunities for improvement in processes and systems. Develop and implement capital projects to related to pipeline encroachments Oversee encroachment Capital Project Execution so that the end result meets the original requirements. Ensure encroachment Capital Projects are completed on time, within budget, injury-free, with complete documentation. Adhere to the project execution and engineering procedures for all capital projects managed. Stay actively involved in professional development; work with supervisor to identify and plan development and progression opportunities. Manage team of approximately 20 contractors with annual spend of about $3.2M.

High school diploma or GED required 10+ years of in design and construction of public/private infrastructure and experience in oil & gas midstream industry Specifically, need someone with experience in design and construction of utilities and roadways associated with residential land development, commercial development, and highways/roadways. Experience in design and construction of midstream oil & gas pipelines. Employee will not specifically be performing design or managing construction activities; employee will be evaluating third party's construction drawings in regards to potential impact unto Clients oil & gas facilities and midstream pipelines. Good verbal and written communication skills Can travel up to 25% of the time primarily in region that spans from Corpus Christi, TX to New Orleans, LA. Significant time required on job sites & one calls. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE and abide by site safety requirements. Able to work effectively and collaborate within a diverse team, and organization Strong organizational skills, able to multi-task effectively, with changing priorities Familiarity with Google, MS Office, MS Project, Maximo, and Oracle Ability to work extended hours and shift work as business needs dictate On call night, weekends and holidays as required
