If so, we'd like to talk with you about growing with us. EnSafe Inc. is adding an Environmental Scientist, Engineer, or Geologist to join our growing Pensacola, Florida team. This position will work on various site investigations and site assessments under the guidance of project managers and senior staff. Environmental Staff Geologist/Engineer Responsibilities:
- Conduct site investigation activities (sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, sediment, biota, indoor air, soil gas, drinking water, and building materials)
- Assist in preparing work plans and other technical documents
- Project preparation and planning
- Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration; regulatory compliance evaluation and assessment; and preparation of plans and reports
- Perform O&M of remedial systems, operational data collection, and troubleshooting
- Provide data compilation, database management, statistical evaluation, and modeling
- Prepare field documentation
- Write technical reports
- Perform Phase I/II environmental site assessments
Environmental Scientist, /Geologist, or Engineer Qualifications:
- BS in Geology, Engineering, or a related scientific field.
- 0 to 5 years of environmental field experience
- Aspirations to become a registered Professional Geologist/Engineer is a plus
- GIS, geotechnical, and/or geophysics experience are a plus
- Communication, written and verbal, is critical to success
- Candidate must acquire a 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification within first 30-days of employment
- Ability to travel, including occasional overnight travel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (consulting experience preferred).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Valid US driver's license.
