Position Summary The Senior Contracts Administrator plays an important role in the company's daily operations by working closely with personnel in all of our functional areas to manage the progression of contracts through our Law and Compliance Department. The Senior Contracts Administrator must be a responsive, detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills and the ability to manage varied responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
- Administers the company's contracts policies and processes. Assists company personnel with all aspects of the contracts process. Provides status updates on contracts as needed and handles the contract signing process. Collects and archives contracts and required internal approvals in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Acts as a subject matter expert and resource on the company' contracts management system, providing training and expert support to all users. Administers and maintains the contract management system, updates user profiles, workflows and templates.
- Serves as a back-up to the company's Corporate Paralegals. Reviews and distributes notifications received from the company' s statutory agent.
- Attends and coordinates weekly meetings with in-house and external counsel and various company departments. Maintains meeting trackers.
- Drafts and edits of various contracts under the supervision of the company's legal counsel, such as termination letters and NDAs. Reviews NDAs and works with company's legal counsel to address redlines. Maintains the company's form agreements files.
- Prepares and distributes reports on contracts department performance metrics. Prepare a weekly report showing all open contract items and how many contracts the legal team has moving forward.
- Assists with or manages special projects related to the company's contract's function.
- Performs other duties as assigned from time to time.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of 5-8 years of Technical experience
- A minimum of 6 years' experience in contracts administration.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Paralegal experience and Paralegal Certification preferred but not required.
- Contracts drafting and negotiation skills are helpful but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- The ideal candidate will have a strong, practical background in, and understanding of, contracts and the contracts administration process, gained in either a law firm or in-house environment.
- Ability to assess contract requirements, special provisions and general terms and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, corporate policies and business unit procedures.
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and demands as well as work under pressure.
- Effectively handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Desire to learn and undertake additional, progressive levels of responsibility.
- Strong working knowledge of a wide variety of agreements, including nondisclosure agreements, master services agreements, statements of work, merchandising vendor agreements, government contracts and other agreements is required.
