Position Summary
The Mechanical Assembler 2 - Fans & Pumps performs medium mechanical assembly work. Variable type of job. Often makes simple decisions, but must follow established precedents. Works under general supervision and has some responsibility for work output. Responsibilities
- Assemble machined parts
- Apply mechanical assembly skills.
- Riveting, hydraulics, bonding and torque assembly tasks.
- Read blueprints and work instructions.\
- Perform failure analyses; troubleshoot mechanical failures with support from supervision.
- Rework parts to print per instructions.
- Able to work on a variety of tasks.
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Certifications: Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field Years Experience: 3-6 years of relevant experience Skills:
- Good understanding of products and processes.
- Able to troubleshoot assembly issues with support from supervision & able to work a variety of tasks.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Position requires strong teamwork/cooperative abilities, as well as the ability to work independently. May interact with other department members within the Company, such as Quality, Production Control and Engineering personnel.
- Position involves ability to frequently or constantly exert up to 20 pounds of force and occasionally exert up to 50 pounds of force to move/lift objects.

- Pay Range: $18.9/hr to $31.5/hr
