About the Role We are seeking a Specialist, HR - AARC to join our team at our Los Angeles HQ. In this highly visible frontline role, you will provide Level-1 HR Call Center support to more than 4,000 associates across the U.S. and Canada, assisting with inquiries related to payroll, benefits, policies, and system access. You'll also support onboarding by partnering with candidates, HR Analysts, and bakery HR teams to ensure a seamless pre-hire and new-hire experience. This role requires strong communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service. The position is onsite 4 days/week. Compensation Hourly Rate: $21.00 - $27.96 Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)
Respond to inbound HR call center inquiries and provide Level-1 support for payroll, benefits, HR policies, and system access.
Perform Dayforce password resets, troubleshoot basic access issues, and escalate complex matters to HR Analysts, Benefits, or HRBPs.
Make outbound calls to candidates to ensure completion of pre-employment steps (drug screen, background check, I-9 initiation).
Assist with virtual onboarding events and coordinate with bakery HR teams on new-hire readiness.
Support onboarding audits, post-hire verifications, and monitoring in SuccessFactors and HireRight.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of SOPs for call center and onboarding workflows.
Generate and distribute employee letters (wage changes, retention, etc.) with guidance from HR Analysts.
Perform basic HRIS updates such as job titles, organizational assignments, or site information.
Stay current on policy changes, HR updates, and benefits information to ensure accurate employee support.
Participate in team meetings, training, town halls, and maintain a personal development plan focused on HR and call center excellence.
Build positive relationships with HRBPs, Analysts, and internal partners to support a seamless employee experience.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
Minimum 1 year of experience in HR, customer service, or call center environments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish required.
Proficiency in MS-Excel, including formulas and pivot tables.
Experience with HRIS, Payroll, or Onboarding systems (SuccessFactors, Dayforce, HireRight) preferred.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving skills with a proactive, employee-focused mindset.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)
Experience supporting a multi-site or high-volume workforce.
Knowledge of HR operations or call center quality standards.
Familiarity with SOP creation or process documentation.
Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or similar environments.
