The Role:

Directs financial revenue audit activities in compliance with company policies, Colorado Division of Gaming regulations and other regulatory agencies. Oversees and directs staff in revenue auditing to provide procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper controls.

Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for supervising and managing the Revenue Audit team, to include creating effective and efficient schedules, while maintaining labor costs, meeting staffing objectives and achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Responsible for assisting in the budget process for the department and provide recommendations; ensuring compliance to departmental budget initiatives; reporting budget concerns to manager.
  • Reviews daily gaming audits while following the Colorado Internal Control Minimum Procedures to ensure adequate gaming controls, accuracy and completion
  • Records revenues for purposes of daily reports provided to management
  • Reviews variance reports and follow-up reports
  • Reconciles all revenue audit balance sheet schedules
  • Records business transactions and key daily worksheets to the general ledger system
  • Reconciles all revenue audit balance sheet schedules
  • Develops internal SOPS and manuals
  • Maintains the necessary internal controls to safeguard the property assets
  • Oversees Revenue Auditors, Accounting department in providing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper controls to ensure adequate gaming and GAAP controls
  • Prepare 1099's to vendors and Internal Revenue Service
  • Trace source documents to evaluate documentation and reconciliation
  • Reviews and performs balance sheet reconciliations and additional informational requests of corporate parent
  • Assists in external audits as needed
  • Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs. Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues as they arise. Responsible for the overall achievement of department customer service goals.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance with all regulatory compliance within area of responsibility and reporting potential issues to Executive Management / GM.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality in all departmental and company matters.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has supervisory responsibilities.



  • Responsible for staff development and training programs.
  • Responsible for rewards and recognition program to maximize employee engagement.
  • Evaluates team members within department and delivers constructive feedback to employees in regards to performance.
  • Determines recommendation for staffing (including interviewing and hiring) and scheduling (planning, assigning and directing work) to meet business needs.
  • Determines work procedures and expedites workflow.
  • Responsible for employee performance (disciplining, coaching, counseling).


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting or Finance preferred from a four year college or university; three years' experience in related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two years' supervisory experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Target Salary Range: ($80k DOE)
