SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for utilizing experience, knowledge, and technical writing skills to develop, review and provide feedback on outreach and education-related resources developed by the outreach and education team, to ensure accuracy and compliance with department and CMS requirements. This role is essential in supporting outreach and education team members, management, and operational functions. Performs and participates in special or complex projects, analyzes and investigates information and data, prepares reports, drafts technical narratives explaining key insights and other business scenarios, develops and updates procedures, and provides or coordinates staff training.


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical writing and collaboration (70%)
* Interpret and translate complex information into clear, understandable resources for internal and external audiences.
* Research, develop, review, proofread, edit, format, and manage procedures, technical documents, presentations, resources and marketing/communications materials.
* Proofread, edit, and review documents for accuracy, consistency, clarity, style and terminology according to department and company style guidelines and recommend changes or updates.
* Collaborate with team and management to ensure accurate and concise information is developed in a consistent manner within the required templates.
* Design, develop, and maintain department templates.
* Ensure compliance with department expectations.
* Identify proactively gaps in knowledge, content availability and resources.
* Apply accessibility (ADA/508) requirements to applicable materials.
* Assist staff in the preparation and review of resources.
* Articulate clear and constructive feedback.
* Support remedial training, coaching, mentoring.
* Socialize ideas for new writing techniques, tools, templates, and other efficiencies.
* Track and document work accurately, completely, and timely.


Project management (15%)
* Lead the planning and development of projects in support of the organization's data analysis, outreach, and educational programs, including creating a project plan, overseeing implementation, communicating progress and barriers, and facilitating events/meetings related to various provider education.
* Establish project goals and objectives, determine resources requirements, etc., as well as organize and coordinate with internal cross divisional work teams to accomplish project goals and objectives.
* Perform data analysis to identify the top provider errors, identify trends in provider billing and forecast future issues and risks, and coordinate research and investigational activities to determine root causes of other observed concerns.
* Participate in various projects while demonstrating dedication to quality, organization, multitasking, problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, and ongoing communication.
* Analyze change management assignments (Change Requests, Technical Direction Letters, etc.) to determine the required or recommended education actions to inform providers of the upcoming update.


Monitoring and reporting (15%)
* Track, monitor, and analyze documents, data and reports to make conclusions and inferences.
* Draft technical narrative to support reporting.
Performs other duties as the supervisor may, from time to time, deem necessary.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years' experience developing and/or editing business or technical writing content or training materials
* Experience working effectively in a fast-paced group/team environment as well as independently
* Strong organizational and time management skills and ability to meet hard deadlines for assigned tasks
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to present complex and sensitive issues
* Strong analytical and technical aptitude to learn new information and processes quickly
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Adobe


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in communications or related field
* Experience facilitating remedial training
* Working knowledge of Medicare programs a plus
* Experience working with complex resources (e.g., government publications, medical policy, etc.)
* Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint and Word skills
Requirements
The Federal Government and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) may require applicants to have lived in the United States for a minimum of three (3) years out of the last five (5) years to be employed with the Company. These years of residence do not have to be consecutive.
