Kitware is looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing Business Development Lead. This role involves leading a small team of business development representatives to ensure excellent customer relationship management and lead generation. You will work closely with our marketing team and technical teams to understand market needs, communicate our capabilities, nurture relationships, propose solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction. In This Position You Will:
  • Manage Inbound Leads: Oversee and enhance Kitware's process for handling incoming inquiries about our technology, products, and services. Ensure timely processing of inbound leads and work to improve their conversion into funded projects.
  • Manage Customer Relationships: Manage the process of gathering feedback from our project leads and our customers throughout the project lifecycle, and implement necessary improvements. Keep our customers and leads informed about our technology, products, and services.
  • Develop and Execute Strategic Business Development Initiatives: Collaborate with the marketing team and relevant technology leads to develop and execute business development initiatives to meet our business growth objectives.
  • Collect, Analyze, and Report on BD Activities: Accurately collect necessary data to track Kitware's business development activities against established plans. Maintain dashboards and generate regular reports on results for leadership review.
  • Manage and Mentor Employees: Manage and mentor Kitware's team of two Business Development Representatives.
  • Share Your Expertise: Share knowledge of current trends and best practices in business development.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, a STEM field, or another relevant area.
  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience related to the job duties.
  • 2+ years of employee management experience.
  • Willingness to work in our Clifton Park location 3+ days per week.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or Google Suite.
  • Passion for technology and the ability to clearly communicate complex concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in a technology services company.
