Description

Leidos is seeking a Slide Engineer (SE) to join our FEDSIM delivery team in support of high-priority corporate and strategic growth initiatives within our federal portfolio. This role is part of Capture Operations and Excellence and operates within the FEDSIM Center of Excellence (CoE). The Slide Engineer will support corporate and sector FEDSIM opportunities. FEDSIM opportunities range from $300 million to over $1 billion in total contract value.

Slide Engineers are responsible for creating high-quality oral presentation slides for large federal contracts in collaboration with technical experts, graphics designers, volume leads, proposal managers, and other stakeholders to produce clear, compelling presentations. You will translate written content from worksheets, discussions, and strategy sessions into visually engaging slides that integrate win themes, benefits, and proof points.

While this role offers remote flexibility, occasional travel to Leidos offices in Reston, VA, and the Washington, DC metro area may be required to support solutioning and is required in support of executing live proposal opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of oral presentation slide decks, collaborating with Capture Managers, Business Development teams, and Solution Architects to meet FEDSIM requirements.

  • Ensure slide content aligns with government-provided documents, including RFIs, PWS, eRRs, final RFPs, and other solicitation materials.

  • Apply Agile delivery methods, including weekly sprints to iteratively enhance slide content.

  • Guide and support writers, technical leads, partners, and graphics teams in slide content creation.

  • Strengthen messaging within slides, emphasizing key differentiators, proof points, partner roles, and key personnel details.

  • Maintain and refine CoE standard processes for slide development, ensuring consistency across proposal teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications, technology, IT, business, or a related field and 12+ years of industry experience (16+ years without a degree).

  • 3+ years in government proposal development, including solution planning, color team reviews, editing, compliance checks, production, and responding to evaluator questions.

  • 2+ years of experience leading/creating oral slide decks supporting FEDSIM opportunities.

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams, resolve challenges, and enhance proposal content.

  • Ability to manage tasks independently, handling multiple deadlines efficiently.

  • Willingness to work onsite during critical proposal periods (especially post-Final TOR release), including potential evenings and weekends.

  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience as an oral presentation volume lead for FEDSIM proposals within the last 5 years.

  • Active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance.
