Job Description




As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Elkton, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols, staying visible throughout the premises, and providing outstanding customer service. This is a driving position, where you will utilize your awareness and communication skills to foster a secure and welcoming environment for all employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate actions as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, potential hazards, or unauthorized persons in accordance with Allied Universal and/or client procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities as directed by site management.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials of personnel and visitors as required by site policies.
  • Support emergency response efforts during incidents such as evacuations, medical emergencies, or other critical situations at the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
