GRE HERC Services LLC (GHS) operates the Hennepin Energy Recovery Center (HERC) on behalf of Hennepin County. HERC plays a vital role in waste management, converting garbage into energy for the electric grid and steam for nearby buildings, while promoting environmental sustainability. Position Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Warehouse/Inventory Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and issuing materials, inventory spare parts and conducting materials handling, in accordance with GRE HERC Services policy, to support and assist the plant.

Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Complete purchase requisitions to spec and source equipment. Then forward the recommendation to the Procurement Agent.
  • Receive inventory and non-inventory materials.
  • Inspect all freight for obvious container damage prior to signing for delivery.
  • Complete purchase order receiving.
  • Operate forklift to unload and store materials.
  • Complete required system updates, forms and paperwork for detailed documentation.
  • Print and install SDS labels.
  • Issue and/or dispense inventory and consumable materials from warehouse.
  • Monitor levels of various materials and schedule deliveries as needed.
  • Perform various warehouse Operations and Maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Possess, at minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in warehouse oversight required.
  • Knowledge of materials management tools, materials handling equipment and storage equipment.
  • Proficient PC skills and have the ability to use Microsoft Office and NetSuite.
  • Knowledge of safe work policies and practices
  • Skills to use and operate forklifts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize time and workload to accomplish tasks.
  • Ability to ensure compliance with inventory policies and procedures.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective work relationships, both internal and external, and establish credibility with those they work with
  • Complete a successful background check, drug/alcohol test and references.

Working Conditions:

This position typically works Monday - Friday, day hours. Overtime may be required during scheduled outages. This position is designated as a safety-sensitive position for drug, cannabis and alcohol testing purposes.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay range: $32.61 to $40.75 per hour (dependent on experience and qualifications)
