Position Title: Mechanical Assembler Wage: $22.00 - $25.00/hour Shift: 1st and 2nd Hours: 1st Shift 06:00 am - 02:30 pm Monday through Friday, 2nd Shift 02:00 pm - 10:30 pm Monday through Friday Where do you want to be in ten years? This is a potential to hire position for 1st/2nd shift. Apply now! Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities: - Reading and following entry-level blueprints, shop orders, specifications, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts and equipment in an accurate and timely fashion - Measuring parts accurately using scales, micrometers, and calipers - Utilizing overhead crane and rigging procedures - Operating material handling equipment - Maintaining clean work area - Preparing parts for painting - Participate in cleaning of department and improvement projects Requirements for Mechanical Assembler: - High school diploma or equivalent - Basic math skills - Ability to read and understand blueprints/schematics - Ability and knowledge of hand tools and machining tools (drill presses, band saws, and cut-off saws and grinders) - Ability to work with others and independently - Ability to navigate CAD documents preferred - Knowledge of material handling equipment, pneumatics, electrical, and carpentry is a plus - Ability to stand for 8-10 hours - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
