Optum is seeking a Behavioral Health Care Advocate to support members in Northeast Indiana. Care advocates work with members with a goal of engaging the consumer in the treatment process, decreasing their reliance on higher levels of care, helping them to access appropriate community services, and assisting them in improving community tenure. This hybrid position involves remote work with occasional in-person visits to facilities or homes.

***Up to 25% of the week is spent in the community, meeting with members in hospitals, facilities, or homes. The remainder of the week is spent working remotely at home. Typical hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Licensure and residency in the State of Indiana is required.***

What You'll Do:



  • Provide behavioral health care and SUD coordination and support
  • Help members navigate treatment options and transitions between care settings
  • Collaborate with providers and community partners


What You'll Need:



  • Master's degree in behavioral health or RN license
  • Active independent IN license (LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, PSY, or RN)
  • 2+ years of case management experience
  • IN residency and commutable distance to Madison, Delaware, Randolph, Huntington, and Allen counties


Preferred Experience:



  • Working with dual diagnosis (SUD and behavioral health)
  • Medicaid populations and/or community mental health
  • Experience with benefit coordination
