Georgia-Pacific is seeking a finance intern to join our team, this upcoming Summer 2026. This will be a 12-week onsite, in-person internship opportunity that runs from mid-May to early August 2026.

Key contributors to our Packaging business, our Revenue and Pricing teams are comprised of diverse individuals with a passion for analytics, financial business partnering, and lifelong learning. Each team member has a strong contribution and transformation mindset, strong technical and critical thinking skills, and is a confident communicator adept at business partnering. At GP, our Financial Planning & Analysis teams and individuals provide support to 125+ operating locations across the US, as well as at our corporate HQ in Atlanta, GA

Location We are located at GP HQ in downtown Atlanta, GA. As an intern, you will work onsite for a minimum of 3 days a week. If you are a candidate from the larger regional area can commute - we want to hear from you!

Georgia-Pacific Packaging & Cellulose is a global leader in the packaging business. We manufacture standard corrugated containers as well as many specialty-packaging products, for many industries. Specifically, our packaging products fall under three main categories: Corrugated, Mailers, Coatings. What You Will Do

Georgia-Pacific finance interns are fully immersed into the team/site that they support focusing on a key challenge facing the team. Finance interns have the opportunity to leverage their skills to craft a solution to this challenge with the ongoing support and mentorship of both their direct supervisor and a mentor. In addition, our summer interns do the following:

  • Collaborate with the various teams across the organization (across Finance, Operations, and the broader organization)
  • Learn and help support various key FP&A activities including forecast and planning, benchmarking, gap analysis, and reporting activities
  • Support the successful evolution of finance processes and tools. Help implement finance and operations best practices and support advancement of financial reporting including excel modeling and other data analytics tools.
  • Navigate and contribute to a dynamic environment including adapting quickly to evolving business needs and priorities
  • Support team with other data-driven insights as needed.

  • Process Mindset: Ability to understand and follow accounting processes, with an eye for identifying and implementing process improvements.
  • Analysis Skills: Analytical skills with the capacity to interpret financial data and reports.
  • Financial Acumen: Basic understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.
  • Economic Thinking: Familiarity with economic concepts and the ability to apply economic reasoning.
  • Partnership: Ability to collaborate effectively, demonstrating strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
  • Analyze Data, Draw Insights, Create Recommendations: Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to extract insights and make well-founded recommendations for action.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Currently enrolled in a college degree program OR alternative program. (e.g., 4-year university, 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program, etc.)
  • Able to work onsite in Atlanta, GA at our corporate office, and have an interest in working onsite in Atlanta upon graduation.
  • Eligible for full time employment on or before Summer 2027.
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship.
