Position Summary The Ethics Team at the Center for Precision Medicine and Genomics (CPMG) at Columbia University's Department of Medicine is seeking a dynamic, energetic Project Manager to coordinate and implement NIH-funded, community-engaged studies that investigate ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) relating to translational genomic studies. This position will involve independent and supervised work. Under the supervision of Dr. Maya Sabatello, the principal investigator, the Project Manager will provide support for all aspects of the projects, such as conducting literature review, qualitative and quantitative data collection, data analyses, and assistance with professional presentations and manuscript preparation. Additionally, the Project Manager is expected to conduct significant logistical work, such as scheduling, correspondence, budgetary work, managing study team personnel, submission and maintenance of IRB approvals, and organization of multi-partner meetings. The ideal candidate has prior experience in conducting empirical research, familiarity with ELSI research, and a background in public health, disability studies, and/or social sciences scholarship.
