As a Security Officer - Retail Mall Patrol Full-Time in Elizabeth, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned retail and mall locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. You will interact with visitors, assist with inquiries, and respond to situations as needed to help create a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail or mall location, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established Allied Universal protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for unusual conditions.
• Observe and report any suspicious behaviors, hazards, or incidents to appropriate personnel as required.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted activities within the location.
• Collaborate with retail or mall staff and visitors to address concerns and provide assistance as needed.
• Complete required reports and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
