Quality Design Assurance Internship

About the role:

The Design Quality Assurance Intern is a quality engineering intern who directly supports commercialized and in-development medical devices in the Cardiac Rhythm Management and Diagnostics space. This intern will work with a high-performing cross-functional team to ensure safety, quality, and compliance of products while continuously working to improve their design and commercial value. This high visibility position provides the right candidate with excellent exposure and growth potential.

Your responsibilities will include:



  • Act as an effective team member in supporting quality disciplines, decisions, and practices.
  • Actively participate in the Design Change Process to ensure proposed changes to products are systemically and thoroughly analyzed and assessed.
  • Support the verification, validation, and usability testing to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.
  • Apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies as a member of a cross-functional team resolving quality issues.
  • Support internal and external audit activities.



Required Qualifications



  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 and Spring 2027
  • Currently Pursing degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science.


  • Must have at least one semester of school left post-internship


  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th - August 7th OR May 26th - August 14th
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization


  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the Arden Hills, MN Boston Scientific Corporate location



Preferred Qualifications



  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Medical device engineering experience, including but not limited to previous internship.
  • Knowledge of medical device standards compliance and design controls.
  • Adaptable and effective in a team environment on in self-directed work.
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $ to $ , plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
