Job Responsibilities Truck and Rail Operations: Manage daily truck and rail operations and resolve issues that impact the safe, on-time movement of Oxy's shipments to customers, exchange partners, terminals, plants, and repair facilities. This position prioritizes and expedites shipments including authorizing and committing funds for special trucks, special switches, special trains, diversions, rebills, movement to shops, and other options required to meet business or manufacturing needs. Data Management: Maintain specialized knowledge and data integrity in SAP, Railtrac, along with other internal and external transportation systems ensuring that all relevant information remains current. Truck and Railcar Maintenance: Maintain detailed knowledge of truck or railcar design and maintenance. Work closely with Railcar Maintenance and third-party maintenance providers to obtain mobile repair unit call-outs, address bad-ordered equipment, and to follow scrap equipment and regulatory testing programs. System Innovation: Utilize data to prepare and analyze performance metrics for use in recommending and implementing process improvements, efficiency gains, and fleet utilization. Transportation Compliance: Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations, including the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) and Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). Interact with appropriate agencies along with corporate and plant personnel to resolve issues related to truck and rail operations. Answer freight classification requests for truck shipments and standard transportation commodity codes (STCC) for rail shipments. Required Qualifications:
