CAREER DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR / E56B EMPHASIS SPECIAL POPULATIONS Counseling and Career Development
SUMMARY: The Career Development Coordinator – Special Populations reports directly to the Counseling and Career Development Manager and supports efforts to create fair and supportive learning environments across the Career Tech System by collaborating with agency staff, technology centers, and schools. This position focuses on increasing access and opportunities for special populations and non-traditional students through data-driven strategies, training, and consultation. The coordinator provides leadership in promoting fairness, belonging, and full participation in career and technology education.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
REQUIRED:
- Master’s degree in guidance and counseling or an equivalent combination of bachelor’s degree and experience in special education, teaching, student advisement, student recruitment, or guidance
- Knowledge and understanding of local, state, and federal guidelines and legislation such as IDEIA, Section 504, and ADA
PREFERRED:
- Experience in career and technology education and an understanding of special populations as defined in Perkins V
SALARY/BENEFITS: $56,985.95 - $63,421.34 commensurate with education or experience.
- The state provides a benefit allowance to help you pay for insurance premiums which include health, dental, life and disability insurance.
- The amount of your allowance, $9000-$20000, is determined based upon the dependents you choose to include in health coverage.

Total salary and benefits package valued at $71,991.72 - $78,911.50.
