About the Role

Join our Float Pool Department as a Registered Nurse and become a vital part of our hospital-wide care team. Reporting to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, you'll provide high-quality, patient-centered care across different units, adapting quickly to new environments while bringing consistency, compassion, and clinical excellence wherever you go.

What You'll Do

  • Float between multiple hospital units, providing safe, age-appropriate care tailored to each patient population.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for patients and families.
  • Educate patients and families, empowering them with the knowledge they need for recovery and care.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver comprehensive care plans.
  • Document findings, plans, and evaluations clearly and accurately in accordance with policy.
  • Mentor and support colleagues, sharing expertise and fostering professional growth.
  • Stay current with continuing education and safety competencies.
  • Represent the hospital with professionalism while promoting patient rights, privacy, and respect.

What You Bring

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Massachusetts RN license.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Previous Medical-Surgical experience required.
  • Strong assessment, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Comfort with computers and commitment to patient confidentiality.
