The opportunity

Adobe is seeking an inspiring design leader to shape the future of creative workflows, making them truly human-centered in the age of generative AI. As the Senior Design Manager for Firefly Generative Video, you'll define and drive the vision for end-to-end video creation workflows that leverage both Adobe and third-party models.

You'll lead a team focused on innovation, collaborating closely with AI researchers, user researchers, and cross-functional partners to design solutions that meet real user needs. Creative tooling is undergoing a transformational leap where AI is enabling entirely new ways of working. This role is pivotal in making sure that human creativity stays at the center.

What you'll do
  • Establish and scale a user-centered design practice that connects long-term vision with achievable near-term milestones.

  • Foster a trust-based, collaborative environment that encourages deep partnerships with cross-functional teams; drive alignment on the key pillars of your projects.

  • Set a high bar for design excellence - from strategic framing and problem definition to detailed execution and polish.

  • Dive deep into complex product spaces, staying hands-on with emerging technologies and up to date on the latest in AI and generative media.

  • Oversee day-to-day team operations (e.g., critiques, syncs, reviews) in partnership with program management.

  • Represent the team and its work to executives, stakeholders, and external audiences (including conferences and events).

  • Hire, develop, and retain exceptional designers; mentor and grow early-career talent.

What you need to succeed
  • Empathetic leadership that fosters inclusion, trust, and creativity; enable designers to do their most impactful work.

  • A deep understanding of creative workflows, ideally grounded in a personal creative practice; connections to the creative community are a strong plus.

  • Experience leading design within a matrixed organization and influencing across multiple disciplines.

  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills. Inspire teams and influence partners through clear, compelling narratives.

  • Proven ability to advocate for users while balancing product strategy and business priorities.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change; thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience facilitating design thinking activities, such as workshops or sprints, for early-stage strategy.

  • A learner's mindset of curiosity and adaptability to stay on top of the latest AI breakthroughs.

About Adobe Design

At Adobe Design we are designing the tools that amplify the world's ability to create and communicate. We're a distributed team of designers, researchers, prototypers, content strategists, program managers, and more who work across Adobe's three product lines: Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, and Experience Cloud.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $133,100 -- $256,500 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
