Symetra is seeking a Talent Development Solutions Consultant to join our Talent Development team!

About the role

In this role, you will play a key part in strengthening organizational capability and preparing our workforce for the future. You'll lead enterprise-wide initiatives that align learning strategies with business priorities, identify emerging skill needs, and shape leadership development in partnership with senior leaders, HR business partners, and the Talent Development team.

You'll design and deliver scalable, inclusive learning solutions that foster individual growth and drive organizational effectiveness, grounded in an understanding of the interdependencies across structure, process, and people. In addition to using data-driven insights, you'll contribute to the collection and synthesis of key learning data, helping shape strategies that ensure measurable impact and continuous improvement.

What you will do



  • Lead future-of-work initiatives by identifying skill gaps and shaping development strategies that prepare our internal teams for what's next.
  • Build and deliver learning solutions across formats (instructor-led, blended, eLearning) using tools like Articulate/Rise, Camtasia, and Vyond.
  • Partner strategically with leaders, HRBPs, and subject matter experts to align learning with business goals.
  • Translate enterprise talent strategy into actionable programs that support performance, growth, and inclusion.
  • Handle project intake and portfolio planning, mentor colleagues, and help lead agile working groups to drive execution.
  • Measure impact through robust metrics and data storytelling to demonstrate the value of learning initiatives.

Compensation

Salary Range: $93,900 - $156,600 plus eligibility for annual bonus program

Who You Are



  • You bring 5+ years of experience in talent development, organizational effectiveness, or related fields.
  • You have strong influencing and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse collaborators.
  • You're skilled in project management, prioritization, and navigating complex initiatives across functions.
  • You understand how talent enables business growth and have strong business sense.
  • You're adaptable, curious, and open to experimenting with innovative approaches.
  • You use data to drive decisions and continuously improve talent solutions.
  • Certifications in ATD, project management, change management, coaching, or leadership development are a plus.
  • Experience with Articulate/Rise, and Vyond preferred.
  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred.
