GENERAL FUNCTION
The Order Management Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a group of employees, ensuring production goals are met, standard procedures are documented and followed, supporting escalations, and contributing to process improvements. This position requires advanced product knowledge, leadership capabilities, and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional management support.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs) and quality standards
Manage projects to improve processes throughout the department for the purpose of improving production and quality levels
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Technical Support, Lab Leadership, CS) on a bi-weekly to monthly basis
Participate in the hiring, orientation and training of new department personnel
Evaluate performance of employees, and discipline employees according to company policy as needed.
Train department employees on new processes or to improve skills
Maintain performance records on employees, routinely communicates performance to employees and coach employees on methods and techniques for improving performance, including reviewing time records
Work with Group Lead on schedule/employees work time and vacation time
Work with the Order Manager to adhere to department budget including labor and equipment costs
Analyze problems that arise and determine actions that will minimize the problems, decrease costs and/or improve yields, recommend changes to leadership, and implement upon approval
Perform other duties as required
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Previous optical experience in a lab production environment
Proficiency in CRM platforms and data analysis tools (Optifacts, See4C)
2+ years of customer service/order entry experience
Strong planning, communication and organizing skills a Must
Demonstrated competence in supervisory skills: motivating employees to meet performance goals, strong communication skills, comfortable with coaching and training individuals and teams
Working knowledge of personal computers; user computer skills including use of e-mail, word processing and spreadsheet applications
Willing to travel and work flexible hours as needed
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
2 year degree or equivalent in a related field with proven on the job experience working in a production environment.
Previous experience leading 10 or more
Familiarity with KPIs and customer satisfaction metrics
Industry-specific knowledge (e.g., Product, Pricing, Services)
ABO Certification

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
