1.0 FTE - Day Shifts

Starting Pay: $20.78 - $25.98 (Based on Experience)

Qualifications:



  • Minimum of an Associates Degree in a Business-related field or equivalent experience required
  • Excellent computer skills, Medical Terminology experience preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required
  • Self-motivated
  • Detail-oriented and accurate
  • General knowledge of accounts receivable preferred
  • Minimum of one year registration and scheduling experience


Job Responsibilities:



  • Completes all demographic and registration requirements in Epic.
  • Submits subscriber and insurance information to real time eligibility (RTE) vendor for insurance coverage verification.
  • Sets up insurance utilizing Epic system
  • Answers patient questions including scheduling, registration and insurance concerns.
  • Reviews visit type information and appointment indication to complete estimate for self-pay patients.
  • Participates actively in department meetings.
  • Initiates estimate inquiry with call center and prior authorization team.
  • Creates estimate letter and mails to self-pay account patients.
  • Remains calm and de-escalates crucial conversations.
  • Attends education and training seminars.
  • Other duties as assigned.
