Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary

As a Clinical Business Analyst, you will be a key contributor within our Customer Solutions and Implementation department, driving the success of critical initiatives that bridge business needs with technology solutions. In this pivotal role, you'll analyze complex business problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver insightful, data-driven recommendations that enhance our clinical systems and operations.

Working under moderate supervision, you'll provide technical and analytical expertise across moderately complex information systems, ensuring that business requirements are accurately defined, documented, and implemented throughout the project life cycle. Your work will require a deep understanding of business processes, industry standards, and system capabilities to support effective solution design and delivery.

As part of the Business Analyst Team, you'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to align technology with strategic business objectives. This position reports directly to the Director of Business Analysis and offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in improving clinical outcomes through innovation and operational excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Function as an individual contributor, operating under moderate supervision and within clearly defined guidelines and objectives.

  • Develop comprehensive documentation for moderately complex projects and information systems, ensuring clarity and accuracy throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Apply advanced business analysis expertise to evaluate and resolve system issues, identifying effective and sustainable solutions.

  • Collaborate with teams to document detailed business requirements and system functionality, including use cases, workflow diagrams, and gap analyses, to support the creation or refinement of requirements and design specifications.

  • Analyze user requirements and client business needs using established methodologies and best practices.

  • Identify, manage, and document changes in project scope based on evolving client requirements.

  • Support all phases of system testing, including user acceptance testing (UAT), and assist in the successful implementation of information systems.

  • Maintain and verify bi-directional traceability of requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Monitor, track, and report progress of assigned work; proactively escalate issues, risks, and dependencies to senior management when necessary.

  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for existing business process challenges to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Demonstrate subject matter expertise within a designated function or set of modules.

  • Exhibit strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, frameworks, and best practices, applying them consistently to achieve project and organizational goals.

  • Actively participate in requirements management and design sessions to ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.

  • Serve as a key liaison between clients and technology teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.

  • Uphold a strong commitment to exceptional customer service and operational excellence in every interaction.

  • Provide client support by contributing to system demonstrations, assisting in the preparation, facilitation, and presentation of demos.

  • Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes, including federal guidelines and HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules.

  • Engage in a culture of continuous feedback by giving and receiving constructive input to drive individual and team performance.

  • Support the mentoring and development of Associate Business Analysts through knowledge sharing and guidance.

  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies, including those related to HIPAA compliance, privacy, and data security.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.

  • Requires a minimum of 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in business analysis or a closely related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience with the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, and implementation.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the requirements management life cycle and industry best practices in business analysis.
  • Proven experience working within the healthcare industry, with a strong understanding of clinical or operational processes.

  • Consistently meets commitments and delivers high-quality results within established timelines.
  • Exceptional ability to write clear, concise, and well-structured documentation.
  • Demonstrated flexibility and resilience in meeting the demands and deadlines of dynamic projects.
  • Highly organized, with excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other collaboration tools.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with a solid working knowledge of the full Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong domain knowledge of healthcare programs such as Medicare, Medicaid, or related healthcare verticals.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to shifting project priorities and evolving business needs.

  • Skilled at managing multiple concurrent projects under moderate supervision.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts effectively to diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also performing independently when needed.

  • Demonstrated flexibility and resilience in meeting the demands and deadlines of dynamic projects.

Compensation

The compensation for this role is $70,400.00 - $88,000.00 annual base salary
