Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
The Bachelor's degree completion programs in Benerd College at the University of the Pacific invite applications for a part-time, non-tenure-track position as an Instructor in the Organizational Leadership, General Studies, and Healthcare Administration and Leadership programs.

  • Offer high-quality, student-centered instruction for an 8-week course in a hybrid format
  • with in-person meetings on the Stockton campus for three hours at the start and end of each 8-week term.
  • Provide meaningful asynchronous contact hours delivered online to meet credit hour requirements.
  • Create and deliver course content and assessment activities that are relevant, applicable, and reflect the current state of knowledge and practice in your discipline.
  • Ensure syllabus, Canvas website and other aspects of the course are consistent with University policy, ADA standards, and best practices

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree or earned doctorate with relevant background to the course(s) being taught
  • A minimum of two years work experience in your discipline or experience teaching in programs for adult learners

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience promoting and fostering a learning environment that is supportive of individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience offering high-quality, student-centered asynchronous online/hybrid courses.
  • Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
  • Demonstrated experience in advancing social justice, equity, and inclusion in a university setting.
  • Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.

"Work Environment/Work Week/Travel:"
Work is primarily performed in a standard office, classroom, or online environment.
Hiring Range $2,434 per unit if exempt OR $33 per hour, number of hours based on enrollment and number of units, which may be adjusted for low enrollment.
