POSITION SUMMARY The retail branch network is vital to the success of Lighthouse Credit Union, acting as our frontline connection to members and communities. Through consistent, high-quality in-branch experiences, our branches foster trust, loyalty, and local engagement. The Merchandising Specialist plays a critical role in this success, bridging the gap between Marketing and the front line to create impactful, brand-aligned experiences. This includes planning and executing all in-branch merchandising, overseeing print and digital asset delivery, managing our digital display network, and ensuring high standards and consistency across all locations. The role also coordinates with the Growth Marketing team, Project Owners, and Creative Team to manage asset production and vendor relationships, ensuring a seamless and consistent brand presence throughout the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES * Partners with internal teams and external vendors to execute seasonal campaigns, product promotions, and service messaging by coordinating the production, distribution, and timely installation of in-branch merchandising materials such as posters, brochures, and other printed collateral across all branch locations. * Acts as the primary liaison between retail branches and the marketing team, proactively gathering frontline feedback and promotional needs while facilitating two-way communication and responsive support to ensure branches are equipped with timely, relevant materials and messaging. * Owns and manages the credit union's branch merchandising software solution, developing deep expertise to guide Growth Marketers in selecting optimal display zones and ensuring effective, strategic content placement across all branch and headquarters locations. * Maintains and manages inventory of merchandising assets via the credit union's online store, ensuring inventory is adequately maintained with up-to-date and compliant print materials, as well as marketing promotional items such as pens, key chains, mugs, etc. * Owns the creation and production of all printed collateral, including posters, brochures, buckslips and flyers. * Oversees content scheduling, updates, and quality control for digital display systems across the credit union including the corporate headquarters and frontline retail branches. * Conducts frequent in-person audits of branch merchandising to ensure consistency, accuracy, and presentation quality. * Continuously assesses branch environments to spot inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement. In concert with the Director of Creative Operations, recommends and implements interior design enhancements that keep the Lighthouse experience fresh, modern, and on-brand. * Coordinates all in-branch and outdoor marketing signage in collaboration with the creative team and facilities. * Creates, schedules, ships, and communicates monthly and campaign-specific branch merchandising materials. * Maintains records of all materials sent and delivered to branch and timelines for use/updates. * Coordinates the production and distribution of collateral with outside vendors, such as printers and mail houses. * Assists in placement of marketing items including branch set-up for campaigns and other promotional items. * Serves as a backup designer for the creative team by producing high-quality designs for quick-turnaround tasks, including logo creation, sponsorship advertisements, copy edits, and marketing collateral. JOB SPECIFICATIONS * Ability to work closely with internal execution partners and/or agency partners or vendors for campaign delivery. * Exceptional organizational skills to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities and meet deadlines. * Eye for detail in understanding Marketing and Creative psychologies in a retail atmosphere. * Ability to align day-to-day activities to assigned objectives and incorporate feedback and take direction well. * Energetic, hard-working attitude when working independently or as an integral member of a team. * Passion for accuracy and thoroughness with the ability to monitor and check own work to ensure quality * Constant desire to expand abilities and learn new techniques, skills and tools. * Manage all projects from beginning to end ensuring they are completed successfully, on time and within budget. * Be highly communicative and responsive to all stakeholders while handling a large volume of projects. * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic or Internal Design, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). * 3-5 years of experience in merchandising, marketing coordination, or retail marketing-preferably in a multi-location environment. * Solid foundation of creative development process and branch merchandising psychology. * Familiarity with financial services or retail branch operations is a strong plus. * Experience in commercial interior design * Experience managing print production, collateral distribution, and vendor coordination. * Knowledge of digital signage or content management systems (CMS) for managing branch displays. * Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple campaigns across locations. * Graphic design skills (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) are a plus. * Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, Creative, and Retail. * Comfortable working in both PC and Mac environments. * Basic understanding of, or experience using project management and collaboration tools like Jira and Airtable.
WORK ARRANGEMENT: The working arrangement for this position is hybrid. Hybrid work is an opportunity to find the right balance between working in the office and remotely, especially if it supports individual success and the needs of our organization. Hybrid schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business unit needs and may vary by department. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Must be able to walk, stand, sit, speak, see, hear, push or pull (with or without accommodation). * Frequently remains sitting in a stationary position for extended periods of time operating office/computer equipment. * Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds. TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Frequent travel (monthly) to the credit union's 17 branches across New Hampshire and Maine will be required for regular touchpoints and feedback with front line teams, as well as any ongoing training, meetings and/or other business needs.
