Position Overview:

The Business Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in enhancing DAC's operational and commercial performance by transforming data into actionable insights. This position will work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production teams to ensure data accuracy, maintain key business reports, and develop meaningful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that drive continuous improvement. This individual will be responsible for extracting and managing data from SAP, consolidating information across departments, and supporting business leaders with analytical tools and reporting that improve visibility and decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This information is intended to be descriptive of the key responsibilities of the position. The following examples do not identify all duties performed by any single incumbent.



  • Perform monthly sales variance analysis across business units, identifying key performance drivers and trends across all sales categories.
  • Create variance analyses comparing actual results to forecast, budget, and prior year to uncover risks and opportunities.
  • Work with the Sales and Finance teams to support the annual sales budget and monthly forecasts, ensuring alignment between operational and financial goals.
  • Evaluate current margins within each price list to identify outliers for review by the Operations and Sales teams.
  • Assist in price list maintenance based on margin analysis and strategic pricing recommendations.
  • Support the annual forecast process by incorporating DAC-specific performance data and market trends.
  • Develop and maintain forecasting models that reflect sales activity, production capacity, and inventory dynamics.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehouse, and Production departments to extract, organize, and maintain operational data from SAP.
  • Serve as the owner of operational data integrity, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all systems and reports.
  • Provide analytical support to departments to improve understanding of key performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
  • Support strategic and cross-functional projects as needed, delivering insights and data-driven recommendations to leadership.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, or a related field required.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proven experience with SAP (knowledge of MM, PP, and SD modules strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining KPIs and reports for multiple departments.



Skill Requirements



  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, macros, data modeling).
  • Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools.
  • Strong understanding of data extraction, validation, and transformation from SAP.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) at Advanced Level.
  • Proficiency in using MRP software and other relevant tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.


Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
