Description A fire alarm helper assists experienced technicians with installing, maintaining, and repairing fire alarm systems by performing tasks such as running wires, mounting devices, and testing systems. This entry-level position involves hands-on training in troubleshooting, reading blueprints, and learning safety regulations to support skilled technicians. Key responsibilities include assisting with installations, conducting routine inspections and tests under supervision, and helping to maintain detailed records. Testing and Inspection: Help perform routine inspections and testing of systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and comply with safety standards. Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Support technicians in diagnosing problems, completing repairs, and performing routine maintenance, such as cleaning detectors and checking batteries. System Setup: Assist with programming keypads and setting the addresses of devices. Documentation: Help maintain records of installation, service, and testing performed on systems. Client Interaction: Interact with clients in a professional and helpful manner to ensure work is completed properly Experience Level Entry Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Miramar, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
