Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I Location: Wyandotte Hospital - Wyandotte, MI Schedule: Full-time Make a difference where every heartbeat counts. We're looking for a motivated Cardiac Cath Lab Tech I to join our dynamic Cardiovascular Lab team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians and clinicians while gaining hands-on experience in advanced cardiac procedures that make a life-saving difference every day. What You'll Do Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, performing scrub or monitor functions as assigned. Operate and maintain specialized equipment and instruments used in the Cardiac Cath Lab. Ensure all equipment and supplies are properly prepared, functioning, and ready for use. Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout procedures, recognizing and responding to cardiac arrhythmias according to established emergency protocols. Operate external cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators as needed. Work collaboratively with nurses, technologists, and physicians to provide high-quality, patient-centered care. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g. Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, or Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or equivalent academic program and experience.) Minimum of one (1) year clinical experience preferably in Cath Lab or in Radiology and/or registry eligible. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Valid BCLS certification required/ACLS certification required within six (6) months of hire. Licensure or Certification in degree field preferred. Interpersonal and communication skills necessary in order to develop and maintain a wide variety of cooperative working relationships and convey information clearly and consistently through verbal and written medium. Analytical ability necessary in order to determine best method of providing requested test based on the specifics of each individual case.
