Are you experienced in industrial refrigeration and ready to support a cutting-edge production facility? A rapidly expanding, VC-backed pet health & wellness company is seeking a dedicated Refrigeration Technician to ensure top-notch performance in their new state-of-the-art freeze-drying facility. If you have strong technical skills, a passion for mechanical systems, and want to work in a high-growth manufacturing environment, this role is for you.

Hours & Pay

Schedule: 4-day weeks-either Monday through Thursday or Friday through Monday (employee's preference). 10-hour days, 6:00 AM-4:30 PM.

Pay Rate: $45+ per hour (based on experience).

Employment Type: Direct Hire.

What You'll Do



  • Identify and report any conditions that could impact safety, product quality, or food-safety compliance.
  • Troubleshoot failures, analyze system conditions, and perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
  • Maintain, repair, and optimize refrigeration, building utilities, and production equipment to minimize downtime and maintain operational flow.
  • Complete planned and unplanned work orders accurately, documenting all actions to meet regulatory and internal compliance standards.
  • Communicate system status and equipment updates clearly to operators and leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts in a fast-paced facility scaling up its manufacturing footprint.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support overall plant performance and reliability.



What You'll Bring



  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 5+ years of refrigeration journeyman-level experience or equivalent combination of technical education and hands-on work.
  • Strong troubleshooting expertise on refrigeration systems and the ability to interpret electrical and refrigeration meters.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Basic understanding of instrumentation and control logic.
  • Proficiency in using standard computer software.
  • Preferred:
  • A.A./A.S. in a technical discipline.
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of HACCP and GMPs.
  • Strong theoretical knowledge of electrical circuits and capability to troubleshoot AC/DC, single/polyphase, low/high-voltage systems.
