Job description

Orano USA is seeking an I&C Engineer II to support Project IKE. This role involves designing and implementing instrumentation and control systems for nuclear facility operations. Under general supervision and reporting to the I&C Engineering Lead, the engineer will contribute to system reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specify instrumentation and control systems.
  • Develop control logic, loop diagrams, and system architecture.
  • Support installation, testing, and troubleshooting of I&C systems.
  • Ensure compliance with ISA, IEEE, and nuclear standards.
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams to integrate control systems.
  • Participate in technical documentation and design reviews.

Ideal qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Control Systems Engineering, plus 2-3 years of experience.
  • Advanced degrees or PE license may substitute for experience or education.
  • Must be eligible for security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PLC/DCS systems and nuclear-grade instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity and control system reliability standards.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position, walk, kneel, and crouch as needed.
  • Regular use of a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
