Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Spanish Linguist/Instructor at Hurlburt Field, FL to deliver cutting-edge global and cryptologic language training to military personnel. Clearance Requirement: Candidates must currently hold a TS/SCI security clearance to be considered.

What You'll Do

  • Provide global language, cryptologic, language, and cultural training to military forces and civilian personnel via traditional classroom instruction, written materials, technology-based instruction, and distributed learning services.

  • Develop and integrate new global and cryptologic training materials, curriculum, and courseware for approval of US Government.

  • Adapt instructional methods to meet student language proficiency goals, learning styles, and time constraints

  • Advise Language Manager and military representatives on assessment, placement, and training needs of students

  • Track student progression and reports effectiveness of training to Language Manager and military

What You Bring

  • Current TS/SCI clearance is required on day 1.

  • ILR Level 3 or higher in Spanish, and ILR Level 2+ in English (based on DLPT 4).

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Spanish, Applied Linguistics, or language teaching. (Additional experience can be considered in lieu of degree).

  • 4+ years of related experience (or 8 years without a degree).

    • Minimum 3 years in translation and language services.

    • Minimum 1 year in language instruction-military cryptologic experience preferred.

  • Expert-level Spanish proficiency, including grammar, phonology, and linguistic functions.

  • Familiarity with the intelligence cycle: collection, processing, exploitation, dissemination, and ISR operations.

  • Instructional Systems Design experience is a plus.
