Brief Summary of Work for this Position

  • Manage budgets by tracking transactions, reconciling financial records, ordering supplies, and processing financial systems.
  • Collaborate with the Director and Budget Officer to monitor office funds.
  • Enter requisitions and submit invoices for all departmental and event orders in uShop.
  • Oversee student payroll process for 100+ student employees and approve monthly timesheets.
  • Serve as main point of contact for answering phone calls and monitoring shared inboxes when student office assistants are not scheduled.
  • Processes travel authorizations in ChromeRiver.
  • Submits AiM work orders for events or office requests.
  • Monitor office and program supply inventory.
  • Process orientation refunds and fee deferrals.
  • Assist with set up and implementation of large department events, including Commencement and Orientation.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Experience in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong knowledge and practice with Banner Financial System.
  • Superb organizational skills, effective written and oral communication skills, and the ability to multi-task effectively and accurately in a high energy fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to retain knowledge of complex procedures, policies and regulations.
  • Understanding of basic financial and accounting principles.

Please note, this is a temporary position. The length of the assignment will be based on department need with the possibility of continuation. Temporary assignments cannot exceed 11 consecutive months without a full 31-day break from employment. Employees in temporary positions are not considered permanent state employees and do not earn leave. Temporary employees are subject to the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
