| Summary |
Performs housekeeping duties for the Auxiliary Services areas, including the Bookstore, Cafe on the Quad, 1st Floor Lobby, Room 120B, 4th Floor Rooms 400, 401, and the Lobby. . In the absence of the Auxiliary Services Lead Housekeeper, provides follow up and supervision for room set up for events occurring in rooms

| Essential Role Responsibilities |
Plans and carries out an effective housekeeping program for the area assigned within the guidelines provided by the Director of Auxiliary Services and the Auxiliary Services Lead Housekeeper.
Some examples of duties are:
o Assists in the planning of daily, weekly and periodic tasks.
o Vacuums carpeted floors and removes fresh stains.
o Sweeps and mops, tile floors.
o Washes walls, doors, windows, furniture, columns and fixtures.
o Consistent and continuous trash pulls and subsequent removal from the area.
o Prepares items for recycling and subsequent removal from the area.
o Dusts walls, ceilings, ledges and furniture.
o Moves furniture and equipment.
o Performs other related duties as required.

| Preferred Experience |
o High School Diploma or equivalent.
o Housekeeping training courses preferred.
o One year institutional or commercial housekeeping experience.
o Experience with a college or university preferred.
o A knowledge of housekeeping and floor cleaning and floor finishing equipment and their operation.
o A knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their use.
OTHER
REQUIREMENTS
o Ability to provide overtime when necessary.
o The ability to read instructions for chemical use.
o The ability to get along well with many various groups at all levels including Bookstore and Food Service staff, other support personnel, administrators, students, faculty and college visitors, using tact, patience and courtesy.
o Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
o Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
o Regular attendance is a requirement of this job.
o Performs all duties while considering the impact of any actions on the college's sustainability initiatives in the areas of environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and economic prosperity.

| Physical Demand Summary |
Many facets of the job require heavy physical work including lifting of objects of up to sixty pounds in weight and the moving of ladders and other equipment.
A knowledge of the use of protective clothing and safety equipment such as protective eyewear, gloves, aprons, boots and ear plugs if also necessary.
Exposure to noise and other adverse environmental conditions including cleaning equipment noise, exposure to weather, exposure to dust and dirt, exposure to cleaning chemicals and working on ladders.
Personal safety factors inherent in performing housekeeping duties in public settings where cash is handled.
