Position Overview

The Inside Sales Account Manager identifies customer needs and business opportunities, directing them to the right resources while building long-term relationships. This role uses strong sales skills and exceptional service to create value through proactive account management that meets customers' business needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow a portfolio of maintenance accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Conduct 25-30 outbound calls daily to engage customers and prospects.

  • Record interactions and opportunities in CRM (Salesforce.com preferred).

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with business goals. Implement pricing strategies and manage assigned sales budgets ($2-5 million).

  • Identify and close new business opportunities through cold calling and market research.

  • Support prospecting campaigns into new markets and applications.

  • Partner with Account Managers to coordinate customer site visits and audits.

  • Maintain accurate reporting of sales activities and forecasts.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales or Marketing (or equivalent experience).

  • 0-2 years of professional sales experience, preferably in industrial chemicals.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and sell at all organizational levels.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and data-driven.

Preferred Requirements

  • Salesforce.com experience.

  • Advanced consultative selling skills.

  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar tools.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.

The salary for this role is $55,000-$65,000.
