Job Description

Elwyn seeks an Assistant Program Director to share responsibility for the leadership, vision, and daily operations of the Clubhouse, ensuring alignment with the Clubhouse model and member input. This role supports a rehabilitative environment that fosters friendship, peer support, vocational and educational services, housing assistance, life skills development, and wellness. The Assistant Director also ensures compliance with agency and regulatory standards, supports administrative systems, and promotes a culture of respect, inclusion, and recovery.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Program Operations & Leadership
    • Co-leads Clubhouse operations in alignment with Clubhouse International Standards and agency mission.
    • Participates in unit work alongside Members, integrating evidence-based practices (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, IPS, TIP).
    • Ensures compliance with regulatory bodies (OSHA, DMH, DPH, ServSafe, etc.).
    • Promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion within Clubhouse systems.
    • Supports Member participation in statewide and international Clubhouse events and initiatives.
    • Integrates the Prism Model into clinical interventions and daily practice.
    • Prepares Quality Improvement reports and supports corrective action planning.
    • Tracks timelines for action plans and ensures timely completion of required documentation.
  • Financial & Utilization Management
    • Monitors and reports Clubhouse census and ADA data.
    • Ensures billing accuracy and alignment with fiscal year projections.
    • Manages Clubhouse cash in accordance with FHR policy.
  • Supervision & Administration
    • Assists with onboarding and employment documentation for new hires.
    • Serves as backup for payroll processing and represents the Program Director in meetings as needed.
    • Takes minutes for designated meetings and manages Clubhouse TE coverage.
  • Facilities & Safety
    • Collaborates to maintain a safe and accessible environment.
    • Assesses and supports adaptive equipment needs for Members and staff.
  • Communication & Customer Relations
    • Communicates clearly and professionally in both oral and written formats.
    • Maintains respectful and responsive relationships with Members, staff, and external stakeholders.
    • Demonstrates a customer service mindset in all interactions.
  • Time Management & Organization
    • Manages personal workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
    • Completes required trainings (e.g., Relias) and supports timely submission of reports and records.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in counseling, rehabilitative counseling, social work, clinical psychology, or a closely related field.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum two years in community support programs, preferably serving individuals with chronic mental illness.
    • Supervisory experience preferred.
    • Clubhouse experience strongly preferred.
    • Multilingual candidates and those with ASL capabilities are encouraged to apply.
    • Familiarity with computerized health records, Microsoft Office, email, internet, and virtual platforms required.
    • Knowledge of mental health and dual recovery principles.
    • Understanding of Clubhouse operations and evidence-based practices.
    • Strong crisis intervention skills.
    • Commitment to professional communication and customer service.
    • Ability to organize work and manage time effectively.
