Position Summary and Responsibilities:


The primary duties of this position are to set up, install, manage, document, and maintain local area networks and resources, including the troubleshooting and resolution of computers, tablets, printers, network gear, and other devices issued in an IT environment. This position helps manage computers and other IT hardware inventory throughout its entire lifecycle and ensures that such inventory is compliant with software licensing agreements. This position sets up and/or installs computers and network devices, including cell phones and tablets, and performs diagnostic testing and repairs of these and other devices when needed. This position demands a technically skilled, diplomatic, and highly motivated individual.


* Responsible for the inventory, accounting, and functionality of all IT devices.


* Help manage software and hardware inventory.


* Responsible for the setup of computers, tablets, peripherals, cell phones and other network devices.


* Install, maintain, and support corporate applications.


* Ensure proper levels of OS / iOS and application software for all computers and tablets to insure optimum functionality.


* Perform diagnostic testing and repair to computers and other devices. This would include making economic business decisions to replace or upgrade devices and other hardware.


* Responsible for the application and maintenance of appropriate system security and software at the workstation level.


* Help train users as needed.


* Develop and enhance I.S. communication processes as change dictates.


* Assist on special projects, as needed.


* Assist personnel in their use of computer hardware and software, as needed. This includes remote users.


* This is an hourly paid job, but at times you may need to provide 24x7 on-call support, as needed.


* Travel to other company offices and perform some or all the duties listed above.



Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


* At least 2 years of experience in the primary areas of responsibilities of this position.


* TCP/IP communications protocol, both LAN and WAN communications equipment and infrastructures, proficient in the knowledge of PC and MAC hardware components. Microsoft Office software products, etc.


* Good interpersonal skills, work attitude, and work ethic. Able to work with all levels of personnel. Good oral and written communications skills and can participate well in a team environment.


* Bachelors or Technical degree or equivalent experience.
