Job Title: Senior Functional Consultant / Business Analyst - COTS, Process Consulting, Change Management

Location: Bangalore,Trivandrum,Chennai
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: 9-14 years

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Functional Consultant / Business Analyst with experience in COTS implementations, process consulting, and change management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of industry-specific domains, technical concepts, and project delivery frameworks. You will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, structuring solutions, coordinating change initiatives, and bridging the gap between business and technology teams to ensure successful solution delivery and adoption.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Domain & Solution Consulting


  • Apply industry/domain knowledge to contextualize and validate solutions, assess domain-specific risks, and align with client expectations.



  • Participate in requirement workshops, identify gaps, and recommend solutions aligned with KPIs and reporting frameworks.



  • Assess the completeness of business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.




2. COTS Product Implementation


  • Leverage working knowledge of COTS product features and customizations to design and configure modules or develop custom solutions.



  • Perform fit-gap analysis, analyze customization needs, and apply product best practices.



  • Provide training and knowledge transfer on functional modules and custom components to users and internal teams.




3. Cross-Product and Implementation Expertise


  • Use knowledge of competitive products and previous implementations to advise clients on best-fit solutions.



  • Relate own area of work to the overall project architecture, identifying potential gaps, risks, and integration concerns.




4. Technical & Process Consulting


  • Identify technical risks during coding and recommend mitigation strategies.



  • Develop HLD and guide LLD creation for junior team members; build POCs to validate tools/solutions.



  • Support process harmonization, roadmap definition, and lead client workshops independently.




5. Change Management & Adoption


  • Support the development and execution of change management strategies aligned with project goals.



  • Identify and segment stakeholders, facilitate engagement through interviews, surveys, and workshops.



  • Draft communication materials and support communication planning.



  • Track training effectiveness, user adoption, and change readiness using KPIs and feedback tools.




6. Project & Delivery Support


  • Utilize project management tools and governance frameworks to manage small to medium-sized projects or modules.



  • Identify critical paths, manage dependencies, and develop escalation and communication protocols.



  • Track project metrics, risks, and resourcing estimates using standard estimation and planning models.




7. Knowledge Management


  • Create and enhance knowledge artifacts, reusable assets, and documentation per project needs.



  • Conduct knowledge transfer (KT), prepare training content, and contribute to internal blogs, whitepapers, and wikis.




8. Reporting & Tools Management


  • Use tools such as MS Teams, SharePoint, Miro, and KyoFlow to support collaboration, documentation, and insights generation.



  • Assist in the preparation of reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for leadership and project teams.




Required Skills & Qualifications:




  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field.



  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in business analysis, solution design, COTS implementation, or process consulting.



  • Strong knowledge of at least one industry vertical (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare, Retail, Manufacturing).



  • Demonstrated experience with COTS products and implementation models (e.g., upgrades, migrations, enhancements).



  • Hands-on experience with requirement gathering, estimation techniques, solution structuring, and stakeholder management.



  • Understanding of technical concepts, HLD/LLD creation, and technical documentation.



  • Working knowledge of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Excel) and estimation models (e.g., FP, UCP).



  • Familiarity with change management frameworks like ADKAR and tools for change readiness and resistance monitoring.



  • Proficiency in tools such as Visio, Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Miro, MS Teams, etc.




Nice to Have:




  • Certifications in CBAP, PMP, PROSCI, ITIL, or domain-specific tools/products.



  • Experience in Value Stream Mapping, BPM, or process harmonization engagements.



  • Exposure to GenAI tools, knowledge management platforms, and automation solutions.



  • Knowledge of pricing and licensing models, especially in FP / value-based pricing projects.
