Auria is looking to hire a System Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT) Engineer to execute system-level design, integration, and verification for a portable SATCOM system. This system integrates multiple SATCOM components into a ruggedized, transportable configuration for field operations, testing, and training. The SEIT Engineer will work across hardware, software, and network layers to ensure full end-to-end system performance and mission readiness. This role is HYBRID in Colorado Springs, CO.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO:
- System Engineering
- Develop and maintain the system architecture, interface control documents (ICD), and configuration baselines.
- Perform requirements decomposition, traceability, and verification activities.
- Generate block diagrams, signal flow diagrams, and rack elevation drawings to support design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with MIL-STD and environmental requirements.
- Integration & Assembly
- Plan and execute integration activities for the rack of equipment.
- Design and oversee rack layout, cabling, grounding, and airflow management.
- Integrate terminal interfaces.
- Work closely with other team members to build, configure, and troubleshoot the system.
- Test & Verification
- Develop and execute Integration and Test (I&T) plans, procedures, and reports.
- Conduct functional, interface, and performance testing for end-to-end SATCOM links (including RF loopback and over-the-air testing).
- Use network and RF test equipment to validate performance.
- Perform link budget analysis and modem configuration to verify throughput and link reliability.
- Support field testing and demonstrations, including travel to test ranges and customer sites.
- Documentation & Configuration Management
- Generate and maintain system documentation, including configuration baselines, rack diagrams, and test records.
- Support system-level reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR) and readiness assessments.
- Contribute to verification matrices, risk registers, and test reports for customer delivery.
WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES:

- U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- 11+ years of experience in system engineering, integration, or test roles (preferably in SATCOM or tactical communications).
- Strong understanding of SATCOM architectures, including modems (e.g., LinkWay, EBEM, ArcLight, ViaSat CBM-400), frequency conversion, and RF chain components.
- Experience with network configuration (routers, switches, firewalls) and protocols (TCP/IP, QoS, multicast, VLANs).
- Proficiency with test and measurement.
- Familiarity with DOD environmental standards (MIL-STD-810, 461, etc.).
- Ability to produce clear documentation, drawings, and reports.
WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS:
- Experience with portable/ruggedized system design or deployable communications packages.
- Familiarity with DoD SATCOM systems (e.g., WGS, DSCS, or commercial GEO/LEO systems).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps toolchains for test automation or telemetry capture.
- Active DOD Secret or TS/SCI clearance
- Experience with Agile development and digital engineering / MBSE approaches.
PAY TRANSPARENCY: The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate's qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level. $115,000 - $135,000
