Associate System Administrator - Facilities Security

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support to users for hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner

• Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware

• Assist in the planning, resource allocation and implementation of Facilities Security hardware/software projects

• Monitoring and remediating issues with select server systems

• Support the development of basic hardware and software-based solutions for business needs as required

• Maintain accurate records of Facilities Security support requests and resolutions

• Keep up with the latest security hardware and software technologies; assisting with testing and implementation of updates, upgrades or new systems as needed

• Coordinate with internal organization/support groups and/or with vendors to complete projects appropriately

• Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

• Computer & Network Technology A.A.S. degree, equivalent relevant work experience or combination of education and experience

• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues

• Knowledge in various operating systems (Windows/Mac/Linux/iOS/Android)

• Self-motivated

• Familiarity with IT security best practices

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Computer & Network Technology A.A.S. degree

• 1-2 years of experience in similar role

• IT certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+)

• Knowledge of DigiKey facilities and operations

• Physical Impact Rating: Intensity-Moderate, Frequency-Often

• Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen

• Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body

• Capable of occasional walking/standing on concrete for 8-10 hours

• Must be able to climb stairs and use ladders and or scissor lifts to access equipment
